Relief, yes.
Grief too.
Because the biggest red flag was never the forged paperwork or the moving truck in my driveway.
It was the fact that none of them thought I would fight back.
And sometimes I still wonder what says more about a family—who they choose to love, or who they assume will keep accepting less.
