Ahorrarme el miedo, la persecución, el escándalo y la caída de todo lo que ella conocía.

También pienso en lo cerca que estuvo de callarse para siempre.

No sé qué habría hecho otra persona en mi lugar.

No sé si todos merecen una segunda oportunidad cuando tardan tanto en decir la verdad.

No sé si el mayor peligro era su padre, el dinero o la costumbre de confundir poder con protección.

Lo único que sé es esto: a veces la señal más clara de que algo está podrido no es el grito, sino el temblor de alguien que ha pasado la vida fingiendo que no tiene miedo.
